Document Comparator Core Functionality

Document Comparator's core functionality consists in the precise calculation of a Proximity value between the documents delivered to the Index.

Consequently, Document Comparator contains two suites of instruments:

End-user functions
Used for choosing the source document and searching the Index for corresponding, relevant documents.

Administrating Functions
Used for managing the database stored in the Index.

End-user Comparator functions makes it possible to:

Retrieve a list of all indexed documents, and find similar ones in the Index for non-indexed documents.

Retrieve a list of all indexed documents, and find similar ones for a particular document from the Index.

Preview collocations (portions of documents that are similar in meaning).

Administrating Functions allow:

Indexing a document set (creating a new index).

Clearing the index.

Adding a document to the index.

Deleting a document from the index.

Updating documents in the index.
